Element Logic and lululemon Mark Opening of One Million Square Foot Brampton Distribution Center, Showcasing 14-Year Automation Partnership

One million square foot facility features an extensive suite of fulfillment technologies integrated by Element Logic, supporting one of North America’s largest and most advanced automated distribution operations.

VALENCIA, California — Element Logic and lululemon (NASDAQ: LULU) today celebrated the ribbon cutting of lululemon’s newest state-of-the-art distribution center (DC) in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Spanning one million square feet, the facility represents the latest milestone in a 14-year automation partnership between the two companies and supports the fulfillment of lululemon’s growing e-commerce business across Eastern Canada and United States.

The Brampton DC features a major AutoStore system with 525 R5 pro robots and 292,000 storage bins, supported by approximately 24,000 linear feet of material handling equipment, an overhead monorail transport system, advanced omnichannel fulfillment technologies and a fully integrated software ecosystem. Together, these systems help support one of North America’s largest and most advanced automated distribution operations, strengthening lululemon’s ability to move product efficiently across stores and e-commerce. Developed and launched through a phased approach, the DC became fully operational in June 2026 following extensive planning, testing, training, and readiness activities.

The Brampton facility—the largest AutoStore deployment in Canada and second largest in North America—reflects what is possible when long-term trust and technical execution come together at scale. We are proud to support lululemon with integrated automation that is designed around the needs of a complex, growing omnichannel network

said Krish Nathan, CEO of Element Logic Americas

The project reflects a comprehensive approach to automation, with AutoStore serving as the high-density storage and retrieval engine within a larger fulfillment environment. Element Logic’s role included helping bring together the robotics, conveyance, transport and software components needed to create a coordinated operation capable of supporting lululemon’s store and digital channels from a single large-scale site.

“Since breaking ground in 2023, our new Brampton DC marks a significant milestone in the continued evolution of lululemon’s global supply chain. This facility expands our fulfillment capabilities in Canada and the U.S., enabling us to better serve our guests and operate with greater speed and agility.”

Ted Dagnese, Chief Supply Chain Officer of lululemon.

Element Logic first partnered with lululemon more than a decade ago on a modest automation project. That relationship has since grown into a global program spanning nine distribution centers across Canada, the United States and Australia, with Brampton serving as the partnership’s most ambitious project to date.

From LogiMAT to MODEX: Showcasing the Next Wave of Warehouse Innovation

We bring our latest automation solutions and technologies to MODEX 2026. Experience intelligent software, robotics, and scalable automation designed to perform and adapt.

Element Logic is bringing our latest solutions and technologies to MODEX 2026, giving attendees the opportunity to experience how intelligent automation is shaping modern warehouse operations.

At Booth B16707, we will demonstrate how our end-to-end approach—combining consulting, system design, advanced software, robotics, and lifecycle services—creates warehouses that are faster, smarter, and built for long-term adaptability. The technologies featured at MODEX build directly on the innovations we introduced at LogiMAT, now presented in a setting focused on scalable, real-world automation.

Software Intelligence

Software intelligence at the heart of warehouse operations

A central highlight at MODEX 2026 is our Warehouse Control System (WCS)—a modular and intelligent platform that coordinates warehouse activity across people, robots, and material flow.

As part of the Element Logic Software Suite, our WCS integrates seamlessly with eController, eLogiq, and eManager, enabling real-time visibility, operational transparency, and data-driven decision-making. Through intuitive interfaces and live KPI dashboards, warehouse teams gain actionable insights that support higher efficiency, stability, and continuous optimization.

Our software is designed to evolve alongside changing business needs, supporting new workflows, increased volumes, and higher automation levels without disruption.

Expanding Innovations

Expanding innovation within the AutoStore ecosystem

These solutions are designed to:
– Increase storage and picking flexibility through mixed container handling
– Improve carton-based inbound and outbound processes
– Reduce manual touchpoints while maximizing throughput
– Enable seamless integration with robotics, AMRs, AGVs, and robotic picking technologies
– Together, these capabilities help warehouses improve efficiency while maintaining reliability and operational simplicity.

Automation as a Service: a flexible approach to automation

At MODEX, we will also present Automation as a Service (AaaS)—our subscription-based model that rethinks how automation is adopted and scaled.

With AaaS, customers gain access to automation hardware, software, monitoring, and ongoing optimization through a predictable operational cost structure. This approach supports growth without large upfront investments and ensures systems remain continuously optimized as business requirements change.

Automation becomes not just a system installation, but an ongoing service aligned with performance and flexibility.

One partner. One connected warehouse solution.

As a system integrator and general contractor, we deliver fully integrated warehouse automation solutions tailored to each operation’s goals—whether supporting fulfillment, distribution, or production environments.

By viewing the warehouse as a connected ecosystem rather than isolated technologies, we help our customers reduce complexity, strengthen resilience, and achieve sustainable long-term results.

Equinor chooses Automation as a Service from Element Logic

Element Logic has entered into an agreement with Equinor for the delivery of an AutoStore system to the Mongstad facility on Norway’s west coast. Equinor is a global energy company developing oil, gas, and renewable energy to power the transition to a low-carbon future.

This collaboration marks two key milestones: Equinor becomes Element Logic’s first customer within the Norwegian oil and gas industry, and the very first to implement the company’s new Automation as a Service (AaaS) model.

Mongstad is home to one of Norway’s largest and most complex industrial energy hubs, operating 24/7 with high demands for availability, safety and predictability. In addition to being a major oil refinery, the site also includes a crude oil terminal, gas processing and petrochemical operations. As a critical component of Norway’s energy infrastructure, it requires operational excellence at every level, one of the key reasons Equinor has chosen a new approach to automation.

Element Logic has previously delivered automation to the Mongstad facility. This latest partnership builds on that experience, while taking a significant step forward: Element Logic will now hold long-term operational responsibility for ensuring the system’s performance and availability throughout its lifecycle.

Subscribing to performance – not ownership

Rather than owning and operating the automation system themselves, Equinor has chosen to subscribe to a defined performance outcome through Automation as a Service. This means that Element Logic takes full operational responsibility for running the solution, ensuring availability, and continuously optimizing performance. The AaaS model is tailored for companies seeking flexibility and reliability, without tying up capital in major upfront investments or building internal automation expertise.

Equinor’s decision to implement Automation as a Service at Mongstad sends a clear signal to the market: Industrial players want flexible solutions, but with defined performance commitments and shared responsibility over time. When a company like Equinor chooses this model, it confirms the need for partnerships that combine shared responsibility, risk, and knowledge,” says Andreas Kristensen, Customer Success Director, Element Logic Scandinavia

Equinor’s choice demonstrates a shift in the market: performance and responsibility over time is what matters.

Andreas Kristensen, Customer Success Director, Element Logic Scandinavia

Around-the-clock access to critical spare parts

The solution at Mongstad will serve as a secure inventory for critical spare parts. A dedicated pick-up port ensures technicians and maintenance personnel have 24/7 access to the parts they need, regardless of the time of day.

The system will be monitored and evaluated based on clear performance indicators: storage capacity, throughput and availability. These are the metrics Equinor is subscribing to and which Element Logic is accountable for delivering, every single day.

Entering a new segment with a long-term view

The agreement with Equinor marks Element Logic’s entry into a new industrial segment in Norway. The oil and gas industry places high demands on stability, safety and lifecycle thinking – areas where the AaaS model delivers substantial value. As a solution partner, Element Logic is also responsible for system lifecycle management, including utilization, upgrades and long-term performance. This reduces the risk of outdated equipment and ensures optimal use of resources throughout the solution’s lifetime.

Customer Success from day one

Customer Success is integrated from the start in the AaaS model. Element Logic will continuously monitor and optimize the solution throughout its entire lifespan with clear performance targets tied to uptime and capacity.

For Equinor, this is about more than technology. It is about predictable operations at a facility where availability is absolutely critical. With Automation as a Service, we take full responsibility for ensuring the solution performs every day, around the clock,” says Andreas Kristensen.

With Automation as a Service, we take responsibility for ensuring the solution performs every day, around the clock.

Andreas Kristensen, Customer Success Director, Element Logic Scandinavia

Go-live in the first half of 2026

The system at Mongstad is scheduled to go live in the first half of 2026. Element Logic will stay closely involved throughout the project, with one clear goal: to deliver on our promise of availability, performance and peace of mind.

Why Own Automation When You Can Subscribe to It?

Discover how Automation as a Service removes complexity and keeps you competitive

Automation as a Service
– The future of warehousing, on subscription

At Element Logic, we have always believed in thinking differently – challenging the status quo, embracing technology early, and making automation accessible for every ambitious warehouse. In the rapidly evolving world of logistics, the real question is no longer whether to automate, but how to do it effectively.

That is why we are introducing Automation as a Service (AaaS) – a subscription-based, full-service automation model that minimizes risk, complexity, and capital strain. It is developed for customers who want joint operational responsibility to ensure maximum productivity and peace of mind – knowing that they utilize Element Logics’ best practice and “know how” in a partnership.

What is Automation as a Service?

AaaS is our answer to the evolving needs of modern warehouses. With AaaS, you do not buy automation – you subscribe to it.

-Think of it like subscribing to efficiency. Just as ridesharing transformed urban mobility, AaaS brings that same reliability and simplicity to your warehouse. You only pay for the performance you need, says Håvard Hallås, Chief Commercial Officer at Element Logic. Instead of heavy upfront investments and maintenance headaches, you get a tailor-made automation solution combined with our industry-leading software, live monitoring, warehouse expert guidance, and continuous optimization, he continues.

“Think of it like subscribing to efficiency. Just as ridesharing transformed urban mobility, AaaS brings that same reliability and simplicity to your warehouse. You only pay for the performance you need.”

Håvard Hallås, Chief Commercial Officer, Element Logic

Why Choose AaaS?

Automation as a Service removes the traditional barriers of warehouse automation, lowering the threshold for ambitious companies to adopt automation. With no upfront investment and reduced risk, AaaS makes it easier than ever to future-proof your warehouse without the long-term commitments of traditional procurement.

At Element Logic, we have built our reputation as the world’s first – and largest – AutoStore partner. With AaaS, we go beyond technology, and we take shared responsibility for your performance, uptime, and success.

Minimize Capital Strain. Maximize Growth Flexibility.

• Zero upfront investment

• Predictable and transparent OpEx cost

• Scale your automation as your business grows – without being locked into rigid infrastructure

Maximize Throughput. Minimize Downtime.

• Guaranteed uptime and performance

• Joint operational responsibility for KPI’s

• Monitoring, maintenance, and expert support

Minimize Risk – Maximize Peace of Mind.

• We own the technology and take responsibility for its performance

• You stay focused on growing your business

• Sustainable life cycle management and end-of-life equipment responsibility

“With Automation as a Service, we remove the barriers to warehouse automation, enabling customers to scale with confidence – no upfront investments, reduced operational risk, and less strain on internal resources. All of it designed to deliver what matters most: maximum productivity.”

Stian Hagen, Concept Architect

Who is AaaS for?

Every business is different. That is why Automation as a Service adapts to your challenges and priorities, so you get a solution built around what matters most.

Every company has its own challenges. Automation as a Service is built to suit them – with a proven model that works across industries.

  • Growing Companies: You might be scaling fast but are cautious about locking cash into infrastructure. AaaS lets you scale today, pay as you grow and gives you expert support that keeps up with your ambitions, and zero CapEx.
  • Companies focusing on their core business: You’ve built success by focusing on your core business, and even though the benefits are clear, automation can feel like a big shift. Automation as a Service (AaaS) provides a smooth, low-risk path into warehouse automation, ideal for organizations with limited bandwidth for complex projects. With Element Logic’s experience from over 400 customers and a full-service model where we share the operational responsibility, AaaS lets you stay in control while we ensure performance, reliability, and peace of mind — together reaching capacity and KPI targets.
  • 3PLs: You may operate fluctuating volumes and need flexibility. With AaaS, you minimize risk and ensure predictable performance and seamless growth – even in new markets.
Maybe you need automation but prefer to avoid the financial burden and technical complexity. AaaS offers simple, subscription-based automation, backed by our experts – so you can focus on delivering to your customers.

Or if you value stability and certainty – AaaS transforms automation from a massive investment into a low-risk, high-reliability service, with shared operational responsibility and clear, predictable costs.

A true green choice – Sustainability-proof life cycle management and financing

With AaaS, the long-term risk is on us as a service provider and not the customer – Element Logic is responsible for both the financing and utilization of the equipment throughout its entire lifecycle, including site redeployment when the solution reaches end of life – fewer headaches for the customers and better for the environment.

“With AaaS, the long-term risk is on us as a service provider and not the customer – Element Logic is responsible for both the financing and utilization of the equipment throughout its entire lifecycle.”

Kristian Rosseland, Vice President – Element Logic Financial Services

Powered by People. Driven by Technology.
Proven Through History.

At Element Logic, we combine cutting-edge technology with passionate people and nearly 40 years of warehouse automation experience.

For decades, we have been at the forefront of warehouse innovation – ever since we built the world’s first AutoStore system. AaaS is the next chapter in that journey, designed for a world where staying competitive means staying flexible.

Our team does not just deliver technology – we partner with you to maximize your success. From initial consultation to ongoing optimization, we are by your side – committed to your warehouse performance, every step of the way.

Revolutionizing Warehousing, together.

We have always believed that warehouses are more than storage spaces – they are growth engines. With AaaS, we make it easier than ever to unlock their full potential.

With AaaS, you do not just automate – you stay ahead. You will never have outdated hardware or software that holds you back. We monitor performance and handle upgrades, maintenance, and optimization – ensuring your warehouse evolves as quickly as the market demands.

2025 Element Logic Scholarship Competition: A Joint Initiative of Element Logic and Bergen Logistics

Carlstadt, NJ — December 12,2025 — Element Logic, the global leader in intralogistics and warehouse automation, and Bergen Logistics, a global third-party logistics provider, are proud to announce the 2025 Element Logic Scholarship Competition. Originally established by ABCO Systems and now continued under Element Logic’s leadership, the program expands this year through a new partnership with Bergen Logistics, alongside longtime collaborators Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).

Designed to equip students with real-world experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and warehouse management, the program continues its mission to close the knowledge gap that became evident during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Program with a Purpose

The competition was first conceived by Thomas Hoff, Executive Vice President of Element Logic, who recognized a critical public misunderstanding of how supply chains function.

“During COVID, it became clear that most people had no idea how the supply chain actually worked,” said Hoff. “Warehouses stopped, shelves were empty, and suddenly logistics was national news. We created this program to educate, inspire, and attract new talent to the field. Watching it grow has been incredibly rewarding.”

This year, 13 students from RVCC are participating—its largest cohort to date—reflecting growing academic and industry interest in supply chain careers.

Immersive Industry Experience With Bergen Logistics

As part of the expanded partnership, Bergen Logistics opened its doors to participating students for three on-site learning days:

  • November 10
  • November 21
  • December 12

During these visits, students toured Bergen Logistics’ operations, engaged directly with leadership, and were introduced to a live case study challenge that mirrors real business scenarios. Between visits, students worked closely with mentors from Element Logic, Bergen Logistics, RVCC, and CSCMP to refine their strategies, analyze operational data, and prepare informed solutions.

“At Bergen Logistics, we see education and industry as two sides of the same coin,” said Charles Ickes, CEO of Bergen Logistics. “By welcoming students into our facilities and exposing them to real operational challenges, we are helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in modern supply chain careers. We are proud to partner with Element Logic, RVCC, and CSCMP on this initiative and to invest in the next generation of logistics professionals.”

Upcoming Key Milestones

  • January 14, 2025 — Final Student Presentations
    RVCC, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Students will present their solutions to a judging panel composed of executives and subject-matter experts from Element Logic, Bergen Logistics, and CSCMP.
  • January 20, 2025 — Award Ceremony & Winner Announcement
The winning student will be selected following the presentations and formally announced during the awards dinner.
The winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, funded jointly by Element Logic, RVCC, CSCMP, and Bergen Logistics.

Following the January 14 presentations, Element Logic will convene program partners to select the winner.

Element Logic’s Ongoing Commitment

“We are incredibly proud to continue the scholarship program originally created by ABCO Systems,” said Seth Weisberg, CRO of Element Logic North America. “Giving students access to real warehouses, real data, and real operational challenges is essential for shaping the next generation of supply chain professionals. This competition creates a direct bridge between education and industry, and we are honored to support it.”

A Growing Legacy of Collaboration

What began as a local initiative has evolved into a multi-organization educational partnership that provides unparalleled hands-on learning. With Bergen Logistics joining this year as a formal partner, the Element Logic Scholarship Competition is steadily becoming one of the region’s premier experiential learning programs for supply chain students.

Element Logic Builds Germany’s Largest AutoStore System for Thalia

The Thalia Bücher GmbH, a leading omnichannel bookseller in German-speaking regions, has commissioned system integrator Element Logic to undertake an extensive automation project for its Thalia omnichannel hub in Marl. In addition to comprehensive conveyor systems and material handling equipment, Element Logic will install Germany’s largest AutoStore system, featuring 280,000 bins and 530 robots.

With expertise gained from more than 400 completed installations, Element Logic has been awarded the role of general contractor by Thalia to automate intralogistics at the Marl mega-facility. Located in the newly developed industrial area gate.ruhr, the project will be executed in two phases. In the first phase, Element Logic will install the AutoStore system with 280,000 bin storage locations and a comprehensive conveyor system in the omnichannel hub. Upon completion, 530 R5 robots will handle five-digit volumes of bins per hour across 69 connected picking ports.

Order fulfillment for both B2C and B2B will take place in two picking zones integrated into the system as “tunnels.” Supported by Element Logic’s AutoLight system, picks at the ports will deliver into up to four destination bins. In the AutoStore section dedicated to inbound goods, small and large batches will be stocked via an additional 27 ports. Packaging will be partially automated and completed by automatic packaging machines. A multi-kilometer conveyor network, managed by Element Logic, will connect the AutoStore system with the fast-moving goods zone, packing area, and shipping area.

Spanning more than 50,000 square meters, this facility will become Germany’s largest AutoStore system. Element Logic is responsible as the general contractor for intralogistics. The first phase of the project is slated to become operational in early 2026.

Key Figures at a Glance

  • 280,000 bin storage locations
  • 530 AutoStore robots
  • 69 connected picking ports
  • 27 inbound ports
  • Tens of thousands of bins per hour (throughput estimate is 13,000 totes per hour) (200 TPH per port)
  • 50,000+ m² facility size
  • Go-live: Early 2026

Element Logic Redefines High-Throughput Warehousing for Modern Fulfillment

In an age of same-day delivery expectations and peak-season surges, throughput has become the heartbeat of successful warehouse operations. Now, Element Logic is setting a new benchmark—redefining what high throughput really means, and proving that smart, scalable automation can outperform even the most traditional heavy-duty systems.

Why through-put matters more than ever

Fast fulfillment is not just a competitive edge—it is a customer expectation. Whether you are shipping shoes or spare parts, the ability to process high volumes of orders per hour, with precision and consistency, is what keeps your operation ahead of the curve.

While many assume high throughput requires massive, complex infrastructure, Element Logic is challenging that assumption with smarter, space-efficient automation.

How we unlock high throughput—intelligently

At Element Logic, high throughput isn’t just about moving faster—it is about moving smarter. We combine compact systems like AutoStore with powerful warehouse software, robotics, conveyors, and intelligent operating design to create a seamless flow from inbound to outbound.

Element Logic’s software suite optimizes the pick phase in real time, ensuring the right bins are always at the right place—ready for picking or replenishment. Meanwhile, our AI-powered warehouse control system (WCS) orchestrates people, ports, robots, and processes into a single high-speed fulfillment engine.

“There’s a widespread misconception that AutoStore is only suited for slow-moving operations. The reality is very different. Some of the world’s largest and fastest customers are proof of incredible speed – in addition to the exceptional reliability, flexibility and density that AutoStore already are highly recognized for,” says Terje Skjølberg, Group Sales Director at Element Logic.

“Through smart design and intelligent orchestration, we help customers push the boundaries of what is possible with automated warehousing—meeting today’s operational demands while ensuring scalability for the future,” Terje continues.

What high throughput looks like in action

The proof is in the performance. Here are just a few examples from Element Logic’s customers:

  • Boozt.com: From customer order to dispatch in just 49 seconds
  • XXL: 500+ bin presentations and 800+ order lines/hour per operator
  • Helly Hansen: Fulfillment time reduced from days to hours

These results are made possible not just by hardware, but by smart orchestration, scalable design, and deep operational insight.

The Element Logic difference

What sets Element Logic apart is our holistic approach. We don’t just install automation—we design for performance. From system simulation and layout planning to software configuration and lifecycle optimization, we ensure your solution delivers the throughput your business needs—today and tomorrow.

Whether you are scaling fast, expanding into new markets, or preparing for peak seasons, we are ready to help you transform your warehouse into a high-speed, high-efficiency operation.

Element Logic partners with Purdue University to add AutoStore to their Smart Lab

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MELBOURNE, Fla. – June, 4, 2025

Element Logic is proud to announce the implementation of an AutoStore system, summer 2025, at Purdue Polytechnic School of Engineering Technology’s campus in West Lafayette, Ind.
Element Logic will install an AutoStore system to act as a “mock warehouse” within Purdue’s Campus — home to a cutting-edge Smart Factory. This is an important piece of Purdue University’s commitment to driving innovation in automation and shaping the future of engineering education

“This collaboration with Element Logic will allow our students to interact directly with cutting-edge automation, gaining the skills and insights that will set them apart from day one in the workforce,”

Daniel Castro, Dean of the Purdue Polytechnic, said.

The Smart Learning Factory is designed to provide hands-on experience and immersive learning to prepare the next generation of engineers for a highly competitive and technically demanding marketplace. Acting as a microcosm of modern industry, the facility integrates advanced technologies such as IoT-connected devices, AI-driven optimization, and cybersecurity tools—mirroring the digital and physical systems students will encounter in real-world smart manufacturing environments.

“At Purdue Polytechnic, we are committed to giving students access to the most advanced technologies shaping today’s industries,” Castro added. “The integration of AutoStore into our Smart Factory reflects our hands-on, real-world approach to education.”
The Smart Factory at Purdue brings together a fully integrated, flexible manufacturing environment—featuring several production machines, assembly lines, and now a highly efficient AutoStore system that will serve as the factory’s dedicated warehouse solution.

“Integrating a top-tier, industrial-grade AS/RS in a compact educational facility is a challenging goal,” said Steve Musick, Smart Manufacturing Engineer for the Smart Learning Factory.  “AutoStore’s leading-edge technology and proven scalability made it an ideal choice for our performance, space, and instructional requirements.  Robert and the Element Logic team engaged with us immediately and were equally excited to turn this goal into a reality.  Their global expertise in logistics and AutoStore integration makes them an invaluable partner for this deployment and for future endeavours.”

“Purdue’s Smart Factory is already recognized as the nation’s largest, most comprehensive smart-manufacturing learning ecosystem, and we’re proud that a fully functioning AutoStore grid will now serve as its warehouse ‘heart’,”
